[Life Lately]

Sooo, it's been over a year since I've posted.  Chances are everyone forgot I had a blog.  Including me.  Up until a few minutes ago, that is.  Ha!  Well, we have our beautiful twins now!! They are coming up on a year, and I just can't believe how quickly the time has gone by.  Knox and Kate aren't my little babies any more  :/  Which is happy, and sad too.  When I see a new tiny baby, I feel like I barely remember when my little ones were so, well, little!  But at the same time, I am loving each day even more than the last... every new discovery, every new quirk, smile, giggle, cry, babble, mess, snuggle, whimper - every single thing I love!  I love that Knox and Kate become little people more and more every day.  They are soooo different, which makes me smile.  I love that they love each other, and are such good friends already (most of the time... hey, they are only siblings after all!).  I love the little games they have invented.  I love hearing them laugh hysterically together when they are supposed to be napping.  I love watching their little minds try so hard to figure out what things mean and how they work.  I love watching them watch me, and watch Kevin, and try to do what we do.  I love it when Knox waves - at his toys, at Jesus, at the ceiling - pretty much anything that pops into his head!  I love it when Kate does little ballerina moves with her arms, or plays with her little toes.  I love it that Kate follows Knox who follows me around the house ALL the time; we are the best little choo choo train :)  Mostly, I just love them - their little pure spirits and bright lives.

Basically, life could not be better! Kevin started his new job at the VA this week, we are moving in two weeks, and I am doing exactly what I have always dreamed of doing.

[And it is better than I ever could have dreamed.]

Prenancy: A Love/Hate Relationship!

Things I Don't Love about Pregnancy:

1.  Not being able to sleep on my tummy anymore.  SO HARD.  Ugh.  I don't sleep on my stomach during the night, but since I have always fallen asleep that way and THEN turned over, falling sleep often eludes me now.
2.  Crazy emotions.  I cried today because Kevin didn't hear what I said two times... just two times.  And then I cried during Dancing with the Stars ten minutes later.  But at least I can say it was during a real professional waltz to beautiful music, not during the normal dances.
3.  Being hungry ALL of the time.  Trust me, "eating for three" is not always fun or easy.
4.  Not having the energy to do much after work - I get so worn out there that I come home and crash. Every day.  At least that's what I feel like I do.  Poor Kevin :/
5.  Miscellaneous aches/pains/sickness.  I have been very fortunate so far in this regard, as nausea has not been a big part of my prenancy at all.  But my back hurts pretty bad after 8 hours in an office chair, and every other little pain or sore throat or even itch feels like it has been amplified by thirty degrees!
6. Having to wait 20 weeks to find out gender - AHHH.  We thought because we are having twinners and get an ultrasound at every appointment we would know sooner, but no such luck.

Things I DO Love about Prenancy (or at least my pregnancy):

1.  Not having to wear a belt with my pants anymore... so simple, but so wonderful.  I love my panel-y type prenancy pants - Kevin calls the panel my kangaroo pouch :)
2.  Getting an ultrasound at every doctor's appointment.  I am getting so spoiled!  I know my next pregnancies will be so hard because I will probably only have a few at the most.  Let me tell you, we feel so blessed to have randomly chosen a doctor that screens at the first appointment... if I hadn't, I STILL wouldn't know that we are having twins!  I love getting to check up on the kiddos every couple of weeks by sight, and I love racking up my adorable ultrasound printouts!  Also, having again randomly chosen a doctor that is notorious for delivering twins, and great at it.  Whew.
3.  Finding out who really cares about me!  Something I hadn't really thought about before.  But it just makes my day when a client comes by my office and asks how are "Jack and Jill" are, or how I am feeling, or what they can do for me.
4.  To put this delicately, and to borrow the words of an old friend, not having my "special visitor" each month. Ha.
5.  Watching Kevin getting so excited these past few weeks, and knowing what a wonderful dad he will be ♥  He is so ready to meet the twinners, and I just love him more every day for that!
6.  Having so much joy in my life each and every day, and having so much to be thankful for - all the more to share with those around me!

Of course this list could go on and on, but I'm getting pretty tired here :)  In other news, we get our 20 week, anatomical ultrasound just 2 weeks from today!!! Time, please hurry by and bring April 17th to me quickly - I can't wait much longer!

[Time Goes By, Time Brings Changes]

A few things that have happened to us moseyin' Mosers in 2012:

- We celebrated New Year's Day in California with the Mosers, capping off our Mexico Christmas Cruise ☀
- Kevin passed biostatistics!!! The hardest class on the face of the planet!  Passing is a B or higher, you see. (Technically a 2011 event, but not discovered until 2012)
- Kevin surprised Hillary with a wonderful and romantic Valentine's Day, and with the perfect gift that will have meaning for all the years to come ♥
- My dad got his substitute teacher license, and is now the most popular substitute in Colorado Springs!
- We moved from South Salt Lake to Holladay... best decision ever!
- We bought a washer and dryer, hooray!
- We joined the Valley View 9th Ward, and are loving it more each week!
~ The ward that Kevin's mom lived in for six years of her childhood.
~ The ward that President Monson lives in and attends 50% of the time... no joke! So wonderful!
- We welcomed new nephew Finn (on the Gardner side - congratulations Ashton and Kylie!)
- We learned that another addition will be joining the Moser side in the fall (congrats Jon and Terri!)
- I conducted my first hiring interview.  Scary!
- We bought Lucky Stars (we can't even afford REAL Lucky Charms) on St. Patrick's Day. ♣
- I survived college basketball season, only watching one game.  Ha!  (Note: for Kevin's sake, I will work on this next year...)
- Kevin reached the half-way mark of his three-year, double-Master's program!
- We saw the Hunger Games movie - pretty good to be sure, but not as good as the books :)
- We laughed and loved and lived... a lot!

AAAAAAAND....

- We found out that I am expecting!

AAAAAAAND THEN.......

- We found out that I am expecting TWINS!

Our two peas in the pod - though at this point, they are really more the size of avocados (or so they say)!  We love them so much already, and are so grateful that Heavenly Father has entrusted us with not one, but two of his precious little spirits!  We are so anxious to meet them!

So yes, time goes by, and time brings changes - and we are changing too!  As for me, my changing tends to be a little more noticeable than most.... [♥]

[I See Before Me a New Horizon]

Now that it's almost April, let's talk about Christmas!! We Mosers went on a family Christmas cruise to Mexico - which was so so much fun!  I was actually sick most of the time (not seasick, but real, sickly sick), which was no bueno.  But I tried my best to be social and do everything that I could, and it ended up being a pretty restful and relaxing vacation :)  We left on Christmas Eve and got back New Year's Day, so two holidays were celebrated on board - I'm not sure I'm up for an eight day cruise again anytime super soon, though!  On the other hand, I will say (having been a cruise skeptic for many years) I was surprised how different it was that I was expecting.  Of course, I had the cruise-seasoned Mosers with me, otherwise I might have been a little overwhelmed!

Half-Day:  Christmas Eve

Day 1: Sea Day - Christmas!

Day 2: Cabo (Part 1)

 Day 3: Puerto Vallarta

Day 4: La Paz

Day 5: Cabo (Part 2)

Day 6: Sea Day

Day 7: Sea Day - New Year's Eve!

The last few moments of 2011 - undoubtedly a good year, but definitely making way for the best year of our lives yet :)

Day 8: Home again, home again!

What did I learn from those eight days, lazy days?  No matter how and no matter where, travelling is in my blood - the call is part of me, and part of my future.  Nothing is quite like home, I know.  But my home is my family, and when I am with them, I am complete.

When I am with them, nothing is quite like that new horizon I see before me [♥]

Dancing in your underwear, taking air conditioner repair....

^ Community. Watch it.  Love it.  Live it.  (Ok you probably shouldn't live it, but you definitely should love it.)  This song has been stuck in my head on and off for days, but at least it makes me smile every time it resurfaces!
♪ Dancing in your underwear, taking air conditioner repair... so you can get a job.  Greendale's the way it goes, some things are still the same ♫

Some things definitely still the same! This month has been pretty crazy - like almost every other!  We kicked off the month by going to Temple Square.  Let me tell you, almost nothing on this earth is as beautiful as Temple Square at Christmas time, and no peace exists quite as much in any other place.  And for me, almost nothing touches my heart as much as listening to the bagpipes playing my favorite carols.  Seriously, tears come to my eyes every time I hear those bagpipes, it must be something in my Scottish heritage.

Kevin's birthday soon arrived on December 16th - the big 28!! Let me tell you how much I love that boy.  I wanted to plan something special for us, so I decided we would head to Park City for a night away.  We started with ice skating.  A little something about me and ice skating.  I haven't tried it since Anthony Craig's eighth birthday party.  And it was terrible.  I had to use one of those humiliating push bars - humiliating because I was the only one incapable of skating on my own.  Ice skating as a twenty-one year old wasn't much different.  The bad news: I was still only slightly less inept this time around.  Four year olds were literally passing me by with ridiculous ease.  The good news:  At least this time I had a wonderfully handsome boy with me the whole time - he held my hand without fail and coached and encouraged me on with the patience of a saint.  I have never loved him more.  He is everything I need, and he helped me face one of my big fears!   I am proud to announce that I only fell once (largely because I was too afraid to move most of the time) and, by the end of the night, I actually was doing pretty ok! I still couldn't let go of Kevin's hand though.  But then again, why would I want to?  :)  Kevin, of course, was also putting me to complete shame - doing 360s and whatnot while I sat on the side.  I swear he missed his life calling as a speed skater.

Can you tell I'm holding on for dear life?
From there we went to Red Rock and then the Yarrow Hotel for the night.  It was amazingly wonderful to get away and relax for the night, we both needed it desperately!  In the morning we sped to Provo for the BYU v. Baylor basketball game - disappointing loss, but great great game.

Then we went bowling at BYU with my sister Becca and her kids (we missed Jesse, Mere, Steve and Hadley though!).  Kevin won, surprise surprise.  But only by one point!  We said goodbye and ran over to Red Robin to have dinner with Kevin's brother and sister, Ryan and Brittany, and her boyfriend Cameron.  Red Robin...... YUM!  We then headed to Brittany's apartment for cake, games and a movie.  Sadly, Kevin got an awful migraine at about 11pm and threw up 9 times, yikes.  A not so great end to a birthday, I know.  But I think, all in all, I deserve an A+ for secrecy and execution because everything else was pretty perfect if you ask me :)

In other news, I got an award at work!! Hooray!  Thanks to my boss for being so great and helping me be my best self!

Christmas is our next adventure, and its hard to believe that it is just around the corner!  I've had my shopping done since October, but I've hardly had a minute to breathe lately - with work consuming half of my life and being too exhausted during other half  to get much done at all, Christmas still seems like it should be weeks away!  Plus, it hardly feels like Christmas without snow :/  We leave on Friday to California and then on Saturday for our Mexico Christmas cruise with Kevin's family. Hopefully we'll get some relaxation time in, and gear up for 2012!  So until we return, a Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

[And life is a road that I wanna keep going...]

--This is the story of our road --

She liked boys…

And he had been looking for a girl.

They met…

They mingled…

They giggled.

She met his family….

And he met hers too.

And one day, they knew they were in love.

He proposed not long after (yahooooooo!)…

And they were married.

They honeymooned somewhere under the sun…

But soon returned to the real world.

She gruaduated....

And he kept on at the U (despite his disgust in the color red).

They moved to Salt Lake

And she got a job.

Which brings us to happily ever after…

Because happily ever after is today.
Life is a road that I wanna keep going, love is a river and I wanna keep flowing on....
